About Michael A. Millemann

An experienced attorney and legal educator, Michael A. Millemann holds a juris doctor from the Georgetown Law Center and a bachelor of arts in political science from Dartmouth College. While working toward his law degree, he co-chaired the Law Students Civil Rights Research Council and contributed to significant fights for equal rights throughout Louisiana. Michael A. Millemann also began to establish himself as a writer during that time, having published the first of what would become many scholarly articles and book chapters.

After graduating from Georgetown, Mr. Millemann gained admittance to the Maryland Bar, and garnered extensive litigation experience in both federal and Maryland state courts. He also completed significant legal services for organizations, such as the National Prison Project, Maryland’s Baltimore Legal Aid, and Oregon’s Multnomah County Legal Services Program.

Michael A. Millemann has instructed students as a professor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law since 1974. Over the years, he has developed and led classroom and clinical courses on subjects that range from criminal law to consumer protection.
